Miami with kids. What to do? Part 2

Hello! We know that a trip with children deserves special planning and attention. Little ones have a different rhythm than ours, especially when they are out of their daily routine. Even when traveling, we have more regular schedules for eating and resting. The good thing is that Miami is a wonderful destination to travel with the family, the city has attractions for all styles, budgets and ages.

Many people ask me for tips on what to do in Miami with kids. I’m going to list here more of my favorite programs when I’m with my little ones in the city:

1. Beach – Go to the beach is a cheap and always fun activity for the whole family. My 2 favorite beach spots to go with kids are:

South Pointe Pier: Parking, playground, splashpad, restrooms, park, beautiful pier, variety of restaurants close by.

Sunny Isles: Far from the crowded South Beach, Sunny Isles is a very family oriented area. My advice is to park on the public parking at 19370 Collins Ave. Across the street there is a public beach access. To finish this fun day, by the parking is a very nice playground (Heritage Park).

2. Museum of Discovery and Science – This cool museum is located in Fort Lauderdale. It offers many interactive themed stations, animals and a great outdoor play area.

3. Just 4 Fun Indoor Playground – A fun and safe indoor play area, with many activities and a cafeteria. Located in Coral Gables.

4. Lion County Safari – Enjoy the safari animals from your car. Plus carnival rides, splash pad, water slides, animal encounters, petting zoo, mining, maze, mini golf, paddle boats and more.

5. Miami Pirate Boat Tour – 1:20 min pirate boat tour cruise.

6. Dezerland Action Park – Be prepared to have fun for hours: Arcade, Racing Kart, trampolines, roller skate and more.

7. Haulover Park – It’s a beach front park at north Miami Beach. Parking, restrooms, barbecue and picnic area. Across the street is the Haulover Marina that hosts occasional events like kites festival and food trucks nights.
